Beaker is a Cherryheaded Conure, and is my main velcro bird...spends all the time he can on my knee, shoulder, or in my hand...tells terrible lies, blames everything on the dog, and is suspected of being involved with various revolutionary movements. He suffered an unidentified illness or injury a couple years back that left his legs paralyzed, but he's about 80% recovered now, and does quite nicely...he has a handicapped accessible cage, and gets physical therapy daily. Here's a link to some pictures of his handicapped accessible cage and the story of his rehabilitation Handicap and Story

Beaker died in his sleep on April 4 2006. He left a large hole in our hearts. But the Rescue will continue in his memory. Fly free, Beaker.
